Tinos is the island of the Blessed Virgin. The church of the Madonna, an impressive building of white marble, for many years now has drawn Christian pilgrims.

The church is enclosed by the sacred temple of Dionysus and the wall of the old town. The islands vegetation is enhanced by pigeon lofts and beautiful beaches.
